Why are people looking to blame someone??
From the video and reports, the ship lost power and the n regained it only too late as the cargo ship drifted into the bridge structure. Just a terrible tragedy.
Only question I have is why would the port allow this ship leave the port without making sure the power issue was 100% fixed before setting sail?
If you watched the initial video clip, you can see the ship was listless drifting after losing power. This gas nothing to do with the bridges integrity before the crash because the bridge could've been brand new but with a ship that size hitting the support structure would've brought down any bridge. I'm sorry but letting the ship leave without a definitive fix om the power, you can't blame anyone after the ship left port. No power renders the ship or any ship of that size unsterrable .
