All indoor spaces should be smoke free. It is unfortunate that people go overboard on cruises, but there seems no perfect way to prevent that.

Regarding the smoking casino +... when you are limiting your clothes, there is nothing worse than finding you have been 'smoked' and no matter what, until those garments are washed the smell will be there.

Enchanted Princess three weeks ago. You walk past the casino and the stink of smoke coming out of the casino entrance was appalling. I wanted to go to the casino but there is no chance I went with that. In fact I just stayed away from that part of the ship so it saved me money. What a stench.

The problem is you need to walk through smoke casino to get to the other areas of the ship.

If you are on any cruise from Australia people are banned from smoking in doors. They do have smoking area for those who choose to smoke. In Australia you can not smoke indoors at all.

Don loved your comment about smoking in the casinos. Like you we enjoyed the Majestic, but the Crown was terrible as you could smell the smoke on all floors as it wafted into the atrium. Would love to have non smoking casinos as we often have to pass thru them when leaving on our excursions from the theater.

Love that Celebrity casinos are non-smoking. Last week on Royal I had to move from a machine I was playing because of the others smoking.

I don't frequent casinos but am glad that there are some smoke free casinos out there. The sickest I have ever been (on a cruise ship) was on Freedom of the Seas while sitting at the Schooner Bar listening to music. I realized that the smoke from the casino had gotten really bad and shortly after that we left. Within about two hours, I started getting sick and ended up with a full blown sinus infection from the smoke. I didn't realize how allergic I was to the smoke until then. I agree with you that having one side smoking and the other smoke free is NOT the answer. Who "trains" the smoke to stay on one side of the casino???? Different floors could be needed and I would give the larger space to non-smokers, since I believe there are more of them (except for Europe, perhaps).

I'm glad to have a smoke free casino option! Sailing on the Magic next month so this is great news! I'm so sorry for the man that died and his family. They are in my prayers.

Please NO SMOKING casinos on all Princess ships. Want to go in and gamble but just can’t because of the smoke and smell.

On smoking: in many countries, government banned smoking in bars/restaurants to protect employees since this is a worklplace for them and they would otherwise be exposed to smoke during 100% of their workday. Cruise ships that allow smoking indoors endanger their crews.

ALL smoking casinos should have doors. If they are near shops, I don't even want to go in.

I would love all casinos to be smoke free. Our last Carnival cruise this month was so smokey couldn't even stand to walk by or play in it.
