You have to give this woman credit. He would go on benders, cheat, and really risk his life and even after years of divorce she is the one who DRIVES him to rehab/hospital/to get help. She has always been there for him as the father of their children and still managed to protect her children. Calling it insecurity is ridiculous and even I felt the punch to the gut when that was said. I’ve witnessed first hand what happens when a child is introduced to parent’s new “flavor” so quickly and it leads to unhealthy relationships, toxic codependency, mistrust, hyper-sexuality or even the opposite and so much more depending on the vulnerability and affection they display in front of the children. The kids may be ok with it, but it’s the parent’s responsibility to make them first priority and it’s a shame Garner seems to be the only one to see that… but, then you say that’s insecure.
