The amount of contamination cannot be measured. By this I mean there was unregulated discharges of high level transuranic waste into the Columbia River for decades. There will always be contamination on this site.
I also love how colourful and friendly the video is, it really makes you feel like the whole project wasn't nearly as enviromentally disasterous..

Cleanup, is beyond the scope of mankind's capability.
Presently, a number of quite positive individuals hope for stabilization, some day.
Our 2nd largest river...  what were they thinking???

My family hails from Kennewick. It's fascinating to have some glimpse of Hanford. I think it will be decades before that land is restored, but at least there is movement in the proper direction.
