The B Reactor and Hanford Town Site — The Manhattan Project

In this clip from the Manhattan Project Electronic Field Trip, student reporter Sara visits the B Reactor, the world's first industrial-scale nuclear reactor, in Hanford, Washington. Robert Franklin of the Hanford History project takes Sara to the now abandoned Hanford town site, which was quickly constructed during the war to house workers building the reactor.
