My sister’s Sony Vaio laptop doesn’t have a WIRELESS switch at all (it does have a WIRELESS light, and it was on). When we tried to switch the Wi-fi radio button, nothing happened. I spent half an hour trying to help her over the phone, and finally gave up in disgust. Then I saw your video, and called again to tell her that the radio button takes several seconds to react. I have 2006 era Sony Vaio with Windows Vista and got motivated to try to get wifi back so I dug into the startup menu and found a strange Vaio file (not sure what it was called) that wasn't called Smart Network and re-enabled the LAN settings. My internet is back after 8 years of no internet. Downloaded Chrome and it works.

Thank you, I can confirm it does happen in Windows 10. To replicate "Uninstall" the wireless card driver then turn the laptop off and back on it trips the WiFi off, but again thank you for this video, you've saved me buying a new one
