Prettiest Appy I ever saw, was a stud. He was pure black with about 10-20 circular and oval white patches scattered over his hind end. His owner was an older gentleman, trained him to be a gentleman regardless if there were mares in heat around him. A dream horse.

This is without a doubt my favorite breed of horse. I am 72 years old and I saw an Appaloosa for the first time when I was a teenager. From that moment until today I have always wanted to own one.
Unfortunately I was a Marine for 30 years and I never got around to it.

I had my sweet Appaloosa for 22 1/2 years. So many happy memories, one of my favorites is when he was in the back of the pasture, I would whistle and call his name. I would hear a loud neigh followed by the thundering sound of hooves as he came at a run for his treats. Great horse. The ones in this clip are so pretty.

Bought a red roan appy for my son. He had a big beautiful white blanket . Flashy as all get up. My son rode him in a few parades and he was always getting compliments.
