WHY I AM NO LONGER BUYING LUXURY DESIGNER HANDBAGS.

Why I am no longer buying luxury designer bags. After my previous video on my vlog sale, the luxury resell market being dead and luxury YouTube being to blame, and also on my toxic shopping habits, I received a few comments that led me to reflect on my shopping habits. What led to this video and this realisation are comments that were left on my vlog sale video, how it made the viewer uncomfortable and I was exhibiting a complete lack of control. In this video I share with you the realisation I have reached and why I will not be buying any more luxury, designer handbags.

I can relate. Idk what happens to us, it’s like I get possessed. I recently sold several bags and listed 22 more to sell. All of a sudden my shelves looked empty (to me) and I went crazy over a two week span purchased 11 bags. I am so glad you posted this. Time to take a break from buying.

I just found your channel, and I wanted to mention how much respect I have for you creating this video. It definitely sounds like you got into a bad cycle here, and it's admirable of you to acknowledge that publicly.

EDIT: While you certainly didn't owe anyone an apology, I do think some of the comments are...perhaps missing the point. Ultimately, this wasn't you treating yourself & getting judged. It was you appearing to shop for the thrill of it without really wanting what you bought, and some commenters clocking that as worrying.

Honestly, though, I think we've all had moments like this where we overspent or chased an adrenaline rush. I really hope the break did you good!

Excellent and honest video! It’s okay to slow your roll regarding new handbag purchases!! For me, instead of chasing the next hot handbag which most likely will go out of style. I will continue to shop in my closet or buy preloved.

I adore your collection, especially your unabashed love for colours and seasonal designs, and was partially inspired by you (and other YTers) to buy a rainbow mermaid reissue too (mine is in the woc). It brings me such joy! I thought the Fendi fit in well in your collection but the thing is that with so many brands putting out products every season, there are many things that will go well in our collections. It’s good to have a reset and examine what you really love and must own. It sounds like your vlog sale was a rather stinging experience but maybe it’s a useful reflection for all of us. Agree with others that I would enjoy styling vlogs for each bag in your collection. Might help people who find colourful bags hard to style!

I think many of us deal with this issue, me included. I have to force myself to use what’s on my shelf. Just remember, you don’t owe anyone on here anything. Do what you want. I would love to see videos of your current bags. they are beautiful and unique.

I've been on a no bag buy since April the beginning of the year i made a promise to myself to but a certain amount in retirement. My father passed away in February and i bought 7 bags and 2 pairs of shoes to deal with the grief. I thankfully had the money to do so but it put me far behind on my goal. I'm now back to saving and using most of what i bought 🙄. its hard but well worth it

Some people collect stamps, train sets, trainers etc. They are all likely never used. We should not mix addiction with hobbies. Collectors and hoarders are also very different. If you can afford it (not gone into debt) and that’s what make you happy, you should continue at your leisure. Life is too short, enjoying your life while you can. ❤❤

Hi Amelia! Please don't let the trolls take away from your joy of your collection. Being a long time subscriber I know that you do not buy to do unboxings, and then sell them! What you decide to do with your bag collection is your choice not anyone else's! I feel that as long as your bills are paid and your family is cared for, you should be able to have joy in your collection!
