Next you'll tell me people don't eat whole spoonfuls of pure cinnamon as part of a balanced breakfast.

It's so lovely to see your boyfriend appear in videos more often

Fortunately, my first introduction to century egg was in congee. I also can't say that I like them very much, even as a congee ingredient, but it's definitely much better than on its own, and they definitely taste better than they smell. I have a feeling I could get used to it.

Love your vibes, Jon. Your almost nonchalant body language coupled with your thoughtful, precise, speech is intoxicating

There was a Hakka restaurant by my first apartment in China that did a dish of century eggs with soft tofu. I ate it multiple times a week for months before I learned that the eggs we’re supposed to be some kind off shocking gross out food to other westerners. Go into most foods with an open mind in the context that they’re meant to be enjoyed and you’ll probably like it.

Green is my favorite color! You rock that outfit! The congee brings everything into warm harmony.

Brilliant... properly done, sir!! I was first introduced to century eggs 20+ yrs ago when teaching in Fuzhou, Fujian...always had it with congee & Youtiao for breakfast, while heaps of ignorant fellow expats just turned up their noses and snubbed them.... Always feel bad for the small minded people, who miss out on experiencing other cultures by refusing to try foods which communicate culture via the sense of taste...keep up with the exceptional content!!!!

I really like century eggs. In Denmark, shrimps and boiled egg with mayonnaise on white bread is a classic food. Replacing the boiled egg with a century eggs tasted INCREDIBLE

Yes yes yes! Thank you for your message, as usual ❤ I love century eggs, and tea eggs, and salted eggs… 😊🥚

This is to a lesser extent the issue with Americans trying Vegemite. They treat it like Nutella and not a salty yeast extract

The smirk tells me he's enjoying the meal.

I love Century Eggs in my congee. It's almost the only way I eat them as well. I love the texture and the pungent aroma really kickstarts the senses when you have something somewhat homogenous like congee.

Thank you for changing the perspective 💖

I love these and can eat them by themselves. The cheese analogy is spot on cuz it does have that funk like a stinky cheese but great after taste.

The first time I had century eggs was when the Vietnamese grandma of a child I was caring for made me breakfast. They were in a congee-like dish. I thought they were pieces of mushroom until I noticed the outline of the yolk. I loved that dish! It was my favorite thing she would make for breakfast.
