If you’re adventurous and like pungent flavors, give century eggs a try! These are not meant to be eaten by themselves, so I’m pairing them with silken tofu and a sauce made with chili oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and sugar.

Century eggs are a pantry staple in our family. We traditionally have it in congee like most of us grew up eating it, but your pairing looks delicious! I'll definitely try it. I've also tried it with canned pickled onions and sesame paste. That was my mom's creation. She was quite creative. She would also mix oyster sauce into the fried chicken 🍗 batter! 😅

I love century eggs!! It looks weird but it taste amazing esp the creamy yolk. I remembers years and years back, eating this was a fear factor challenge lol I’m like.. give me that! Let me win some money 🤑

Heating up the chili oil makes it better. When I make this dish I heat up the oil so it's very hot when drizzle over the century eggs! And scallions, this needs scallions 😋

Just so you guys know, century eggs are not actually a century old. And the people who claim that they are disgusting and no one should eat these just don’t understand the taste. Like they said it has a very refined taste

I've tried century egg both plain and in a dish and it honestly doesn't have a bad taste to me. I'm not sure how to describe it but it tastes numbing but also strong? Really not bad
