That's because electricity is flowing electrons, not only magnetism. We just use magnets to push and pull electrons. Like the garden hose analogy...
Generator=water pump
Pressure=voltage
Current=flow
Diameter of the hose=resistance.

Magnetism is a field. Electricity is a current. Kind of like a photon acting like a particle AND a wave. Electromagnetism is the photon, it can be both whether you like it or not.

While he was talking, I started thinking about particle physics and how there is asymmetry in quark formations: 2 up quarks and 1 down or 2 down and 1 up…
And then I started thinking about why charm quarks are called charm quarks… How charming can they really be? Do they bring flowers on their first date? Are there boy quarks and girl quarks?
And then I decided to eat some cookies…
And after all of that, I must say, Famous Amos cookies are pretty darn good!
