I live in Singapore, and I completely understand what he means by the area that does not look like singapore.

The far northwest of Singapore has almost no residents or businesses. It is not part of the 5 regions used for urban planning, and is quite an isolated area to the point that if anyone is referring to the northwest region of singapore (if ever), we aren't even taking that place into account.

It is an area mainly for farms and some research centers iirc. It looks like a really rural place, no tall buildings that you typically see in singapore, so it really feels like a different world when you go there. But some of the buildings still look really modern if its new and not used for farms. I only learnt about this area because of a project requiring me to research about singapore's local egg farms, which you guessed it, is situated in this area.

That being said, I have no idea how rainbolt knew that this was part of Singapore. Maybe it was the grass or tree or sky, nothing will surprise me atp 😂
