This commercial was the first to illustrate the physical signs of alcohol impairment. It is also the only TAC commercial to use an idea from elsewhere; the beer glasses blurring the drivers vision was based on a commercial from Singapore.

To make the scenario relevant to all Victorians, two versions were shot, one in Melbourne and the other in rural Victoria.
Launched: 1993.
Victorian Road Toll that year: 436.

This video was re-uploaded for educational purposes, and to publicise safe road use.

What impact could drink driving have on your family? The consequences could last forever. Think about your loved ones, before getting behind the wheel while drunk. Don't Drink & Drive. #RoadSafety.

Though this ad ain't original (which was based in Singapore), it gives an extension to the scenes. Like, the aftermath, and I also like the idea that they use footage of Australian roadway, instead of copying the road directly.

Now, it's up to the woman to explain her daughter of what happened to her dad.

Singapore is the first to use the Glasses PSA, then Canada, Australia, and China.
