Flash floods wash away cars in Greece

Storm Daniel has been sweeping across western and central Greece since Monday (September 4), flooding homes and roads across the country.

In the city of Volos, fast currents were captured on camera gushing down rivers with high water levels, while cars could be seen attempting to navigate flooded streets.

The fire brigade said on Tuesday (September 5) that a man died after a wall collapsed in the bad weather. According to the Athens News Agency, the wall collapsed when the man, a cattle breeder, was trying to reach his animals.

Sadly and unacceptably, the automakers who are partially responsible for the climate change making disasters worse, profit from these disasters through vehicle repair and replacement. Time to make them replace these vehicles for free and pay for other damage.
