Great analysis on UFC 302 Stock Report James! I agree Islam's stock rose - he showed why he is the Pound for Pound #1! Islam showed he could strike, and strike with arguably the best striker in the LW division. Islam showed he could get through diversity, and showed determination and grit and finally got the submission!

Dustin's Stock rose because of his grit and his take down defense. Dustin also broke his nose after the accidental head butt, and showed he is one of the toughest fighters out there!

Islam vs Dustin was a great fight! Dustin had a great camp and Gamrot really helped Dustin with take down defense! I like Dustin, and am a fan, but I was impressed with Islam's striking - Islam out struck Dustin! Dustin is probably the best striker in the LW division. Dustin also showed grit in the first round where Islam had his back and I thought he had the arm bar and Dustin worked his way out of it! Great performance from both fighters - the rest of the card was kind of a snooze fest!

Costa's stock went down because he wasn't engaging enough with Strickland. Costa just didn't have the energy he had in the Whittaker fight! This fight was supposed to be a banger and it wasn't.

Up - Islam (finally defended vs a 155er)
Holland (good win, he did get dropped but overcame it )
Mickey gall- I know he lost, I had it 2-1 Mickey, the score cards were a joke tonight, it was razor close fight, and he definitely improved his striking in his time away

Down- Costa (he shouldn't of fought this high in the rankings after last loss, and he did nothing with it, so down he goes)
and a little curveball here but
MMA refs and judges as a whole -- can't remember what the refs name was, but the shorter guy, wtf was he doing tonight. Herb aswell, obviously the Holland armbar was weird, but he was also in the way of so many fighters tonight and constantly running last second to get out of the way. Then obviously the judges tonight can hopefully never call another fight. You're gonna potentially hurt someone's Career and finances being this bad. (Costa fight, basil being 3-0 on multiple cards).
