The Mamiya 7 is my go to camera for just about everything. Street, landscape, Travel etc. I have shot some portrait shoots with it but if you want to get super close the RZ67 or Pentax 67 is the way to go. But my results were stunning. Also close focusing is harder on the Mamiya 7 but I feel once you get used to it, it’s a breeze. The 80mm is my lens of choice for all around. Some people love the 65mm. I think it’s just personal preference. The Mamiya 7ii isn’t worth the extra money unless you’re dying for multiple exposures. Nice work duder! Also throw away your lens cap and get a UV filter. ✌🏻

Hi, I love your channel, the videos, the music and especially the photos. I like the videos where you talk about other photographers that are doing quality work who don't get as much exposure as Willem V or Matt D and others (who by the way do great work too). Thanks for that mate. Also, would really love it if you could do a studio/portrait shoot with the mamiya 7 (may be with the longer focal lengths). Keen to see if one can get the same type of shots in your video with Lika... Cheers, take care

I feel like I would’ve went with a mamiya 7 over the Pentax if it was a bit more affordable simply because of the ergonomics. It really does seem like the perfect 6x7 camera for traveling. Not a huge fan of rangefinders but I’d probably get used to it haha. Great video and the trip looked awesome! Cheers!

Really helpful insight, I have the 6x7 too and just find half the time its hard to motivate myself to taking it out because of the weight. The shot at 2:29 is excellent with the large sea stack dead centre in the background.

Yes, the great advantage over the Mamiya 6 is of course the lens folds back into the body somewhat making it very compact width wise. And with the 75mm it's about as near as a pancake that you will ever get on an MF camera & also a very light lens too. Of course square shooting is not for everybody and can be a challenge but I see that as a positive. Been using one for 10+ years now and love it yet I still find 6x6 hard work at times with getting the framing right.

I took a P67 to South Africa, and lugged it on some pretty serious hiking. So glad I did though as I got some of my all time most beautiful photos of the scenery in Drakensburg national park and Cape Town later on
