I've been using Disc to Digital for years. After I raided my personal collection, I borrowed movies from friends, then I went and borrowed movies from the library. I now about 550 titles on Vudu, with most of them crossing over to Movies Anywhere and it's competitor UltraViolet.

"Not a huge Blade Runner fan." Wow, that movie is one of my top 10 of all time. One thing to watch for now is this: Blade Runner came out well before the digital era. ALL of the special effects were done with either models, or blue screen or some rather innovative thinking from Ridley Scott. It is incredibly atmospheric and beautiful to watch. The death scene by Rutger Hauer has brought people to tears. The new Blade Runner is very good as well. Great info on the services, thanks!

This is awesome. I just connected my accounts and the fact that movies I had on different services are now available across ALL is worth it right there. I knew about MoviesAnywhere but I didn't know about this part. So worth it.
I have a box of old DVDs too. Looks like my weekend just filled up! :)

This is a great video Lon. I'm glad watched it twice. I've used VUDU and it's disk to digital for sometime, last time my copy of that DVD you have was not in the list. After watching I went back and converted it with a snap of camera. I have to say it is much nicer than having to feed the disks into a drive, last time I used the service I did 10 disks...
Movies Anywhere is amazing wish I had known about that sooner it solved an issue with my digital library, old copies of movies on iTunes a service I don't use anymore.

I was randomly thinking this, but couldn't you just go to the store and scan a barcode of a movie without buying then just pay $2 to have the movie? I love that this exists but wouldn't that be a problem?

I believe I disconnected one of my movie apps and I tried reconnecting it but it won't do it. Do I have to wait for it to reconnect the app.

Thanks, Lon!  I just redeemed and/or converted over 100 movies.  My son is in the Navy and downloads movies to his Fire to watch when he's on deployment.  Now, we have an extension family repository to access.

I did this with two movies and they are on movies anywhere but not on iTunes. Both movies are on all platforms. Also have a one movie that is on all platforms but will not scan. do yo have any idea?

I noticed that Movie Anywhere does not have tv shows option. I am wondering is there another place that transfers tv shows bought on DVDs, iTunes, and Amazon Prime to be transferred many other locations like iTunes, Amazon Prime Video, and Comcast? I a lot of TV shows on DVDs that I like to distribute between the streaming locations so that I do not have to purchase them on each of those locations.

Lon, once again, for the umpteenth time, thanks for what you do. As it turned out my wife just today was trying to rearrange my Down Syndrome daughter's room and found some movies. In some cases we had the box, but who knows where the DVD went? That means ripping not an option of course. I tried this and it worked perfectly!

Will all dvd movies convert at vudu? I tried over 120 and it only took 8 of them.

Corona virus todo... convert my DVD library to digital. Unfortunately, only about 50% of the DVD's where able to be converted. Any thoughts for those that couldn't. Even movies I know are on vudu ( Jurassic park, Gone in 60 seconds, etc) but still when I try to scan the code upon the back of the DVD box it says that the movie is not currently available.

Hi all. Anyone figure out a workaround on the scan on iOS? My issue is that it keeps saying I am not at my home when In fact I am. I’m using safari browser and I enabled location. Let me know if you can help.
