5N is a ground breaking EV that illustrates the art of possible for future EVs. It brings new sensory, visual and visceral elements to driving an EV & I see other EV makers copying this. All that said, I still want the creature comforts of panorama roof, automatic seats, etc. I’m also looking forward to Hyundai applying some of this software development prowess to improving their infotainment, OTA, and mobile app experiences.

I think this car is awesome, but the regular I5 is powerful enough for me. Considering that you can turn the sound off when you don’t want to hear it I’d be happy to make some noise every once in a while. I’d definitely go for the powder blue though. I’m glad Hyundai made this.

Thanks for the fun video! Great observation re: the “modern day focus rs.” Not only did the grandfather of the BMW M line design/create this car, but they also brought on part of the RS team for the project.

As an owner of this same color and car, I love it! I drove 100 miles to get it in this color because I prefer it to the other colors available for my daily. It fun in traffic and amazing on bendy country roads!

Many IONIQ5N review videos mention panoramic sunroof and bucket sheet, ...

In Korea, panoramic sunroofs ("vision loops, " as they are called, can be opened and closed) are already available as an option since September 2023. And, unlike other supercar bucket seats, the seats are also relatively comfortable to use as a daily car, and if that's the case, you can replace them with a seat from the Nomal IONIQ5 or a sportier one at the aftermarket.

Its an Insane achievement thats for sure! The only thing that would top this in the EV world would be all these sensory inputs And a Real clutch pedal to physically row the gears... One thing I'd like to see or rather Hear on the ioniq, is More engine sounds besides the one that simulates this engine.. they are Not limited here and could offer sounds of a bmw straight 6, an LFA, a Z06 ect...the hardest parts of the
simulation have been done and done well... more variety in engine sounds are a piece of cake... Guarentee hyundai offers More on future versions or as a downloadable upgrade.

An executive at hyundai must've been smoking something good to come up with this car.

It's hard to understand when Americans ask to replace the IONIQ5N, which doesn't suit you, because the seat is uncomfortable while riding a Ferrari or Lamborghini, but they don't ask you to change the seat to a Rolls Royce or Bentley seat, even though there are already IONIQ5N normal and N-Line versions that are comfortable with the seat.

IONIQ5N is a fun car to enjoy on the track. It's also a fun car to enjoy while drift. It's the only mass-produced electric car in the world that can complete two laps in a short time without stopping and then one more lap at Nürburg Nordschleife.

However, I don't think about that at all, and some reviewers film IONIQ5N's drag race competition with other existing super cars and high-performance electric cars, even though it was developed with a focus on stability on the track, shortening the record, and fun to drive, rather than recording 0-60 miles/h. If you want to do a static drag race, you should do it then when IONIQ6N, which is scheduled to be equipped with the second-generation E-GMP platform released next year, a more advanced BMS, and a more advanced LG battery, comes out.

Adam, I’d like to see an update on how you are liking the Prologue. I test drove one this week and I liked it more than I thought I would. The biggest turn off was the salesman who flat out told me he didn’t like the car. The same day I went and test drove an Ioniq 5 and the salesman was enthusiastic and upon entering the dealership there were several chargers including a level 3 charger. So I’m wondering how you are doing with Honda. Watch a review of a Prologue on YouTube and there’s a lot of hostility to having a collaboration with GM. My guess is with Honda not producing any of it’s own EVs, the viewership of a Honda car as fewer EV enthusiasts watching. So my biggest concern with the Prologue is how long or how well Honda will support it whereas my impression is that Hyundai is all in, pedal to the floor so to speak.

More thoughts on the Prologue because nobody asked me: I like the looks of it, it’s spacious and practical and has carplay and Google so you can decide which you like. For me the size/weight ratio is wrong on all of the AWD Blazer and Equinox and Prologue as you get adequate horsepower instead of as much as you want. Chevy has goofy configurations with it’s Blazers so you have to go for the RWD or the SS to get it fully loaded. With the Prologue you get the Elite and it’s fully loaded, minus the larger battery that you can get on the RWD and SS Blazer that’s not really necessary as the range is already good. So the nice big sunroof for instance is not available on the regular AWD Blazers. Odd. So I’m rooting for the Prologue, maybe if influencers like you have a good experience it will do better by word of mouth.

Adam, I still own my 2019 Clarity plugin from 2021. It’s paid off and I still get 34-38 miles and a 40mpg hybrid engine. I love the clarity and if I ever had to trade it in once it’s well over 100-150k miles what EV or PHEV should I get? I love the clarity shoulder room size in front and back seats. Not sure if a used Tesla is the way to go 2-4 years from now or another make.

Awesome car! Great Video and thanks to Matt for sharing!
Can you hear any of the “engine noises” outside the vehicle, too? Or only inside?

Unbelievable car given all it can do! I will not be surprised of they add 3 pedals next with a shifter that can never burn the clutch or blow up the transmission. And when you don't feel like rowing through the gears you can switch to full auto mode. It will be the future of electric.

Nice rims, it's like the racing version of Ioniq 5's 20 inch rims

Don’t know if it’s arrived in the USA yet but the new Mini Countryman S E Sport (often called the electric John Cooper Works but that us coming later this year!) is made in Germany (unlike the new Cooper Electrics that are not coming to you because at the moment they are made in China) - when things started going downhill with the Ocean I already had the small Cooper S E fun machine but it was coming to the end of its PCP agreement so no Fisker Ocean Extreme but the Countryman S E Sport is a hoot to drive and I’ve averaged 4m/kWh since I took delivery in April here in the UK, which isn’t bad for a permanently AWD EV. If I use GoKart mode (not often!) then yes consumption increases drastically when you are having fun but I’ve not seen less than 3.2m/kWh even driving it hard on the motorway/ freeway

I get the giggles as a lover of manual transmissions. ....but a rev limiter on an EV is just silly beans to me. Maybe I missed it, but I'm curious what the engine sounds sound like while blasting music... what gets priority?
