You have to put the blades in all the way. And when you tried the “reverse” blade, you didn't turn off the orbit function. -> The blade was being pushed forward on the non-cutting stroke... ... ...

What angle you running that blade at ?

Unless the camera is making an optical illusion that plate looks like 1/2" maybe 3/8" not 1/4". That would make a big difference on the metal cutting blades in that set.

Where possible buy quality blades, Bosch are a good choice. Cheaper packs are ok to a point but they don’t last long.

I have been using Diablo blades for the past year. And i can say they have more than met the challenge. I personally won't use any other blade. because i have seen what they can do.

I know its subjective but how long do jigsaw blades last for the DIY user? These sets are pretty good value for what you get and was thinking of picking up a few. I just got my jigsaws this year and plan to use them for small DIY projects. I got the current gen D-handle and barrel grip Dewalt jigsaws.

well i am in the market for a jigsaw. but after watching that Dewalt one drop the blade a couple times. im deffinatelly going with a milwaukee one. but i am going to get a couple packs of those Diablo blades

No metal cutting with my jigsaws, don't remember even tried it once. I'm not that adventurous cutting metal with a jigsaw. I use angle grinder, reciprocating or bandsaw for metal.
