Very good in depth explanation. The only thing that could have been improved is showing the integration of the integral at the end. I realize it's a math exercise and not physics, but everything else was laid out so clear this kind of stood out.

we are assuming the particle to have a finite  kinetic energy and zero PE in the region 0<x<l
and infinite PE  at x=0 and x=l .. since we are finding a and b for a free particle ...so in boundary conditions when 0<x<l why are we considering PE to be inf and hence wave func to be zero... because at x=l and 0 .. its not a free particle ..right?

For the integral that you used to solve for A, you should have worked that out to really make us believe and how you solved for A at the end.
