Very useful thank you. I was afraid cutting the roots off would let the plant die for sure. Let me get straight to work!

Yes my desert rose was very large and all of a sudden it fell over. Many many caudex just wet and rotted.

I have it set out to dry out. I will now start to cut off all the rotted trunk and caudex

Thank you

Thank you for a very informative video. I have two huge desert roses (20-30yrs) and the caudex looks iffy on one. Would that be why its not a prolific bloomer?

Ooof... had a big chunk of the caudex rotten due to the wet season. Don't really want to cut it off.

I guess I have to. -.-

Also, I was surprised to the voice. Sounds like it doesn't belong to the face. 😅
Thanks for the vids.

Hello, very interesting video. I have cut my desert rose because the roots were rotten. Now I have three unrotten stems, I let them dry and now I'll put them into the soil. If I'm not using hormone, will I see results? Thanks

My whole caudex was rotted out. I got the plant that way from the nursery and I am trying to fix it-I let them know and gave them pictures.

I need help saving my desert rose please😢. I haven't came across any videos on how to save desert rose branches. My desert rose got soft from the branches down to the it's trunk. Yes I cut off the branches. Or any where that was soft. I sprinkle a generous amount of cinnamon. What should I do next? Am I able to save those desert rose? Please help😢

Thanks for your video. I cut off the rotted part of the caudex and it has been drying for 4 days. However, I am noticing that the caudex has become soft. Should I be concerned? Thanks.

Great Video - Please can you make a video on how to save the plant if the leaves are starting to brown at the tips. I don't know what to do. I don't want it too die. I just bought it.

This is very informative, thank you!! I just noticed a root rot in my grafted desert rose, I just didn’t know what to do. Now my question is, it’s January, but it’s indoors, shall I wash the roots first then dry prior to pruning?

Hi, thank-you for your videos. I have only just recently started buying adeniums and I had to buy them from a different state because they don't have them here in Melbourne. So I asked for them to be sent out bare rooted. I have repotted them and finding that some are not doing too well. Some the leaves are yellowing and also look like brown marks on them too. I have not been overwatering them. Do you think they are just transplant shock?
Do you recommend watering them with Epsom salt? I heard that it can help.

How long do you dry it out prior to cutting out the rot? I have a plant that I’m hoping to save and I just pulled it out to dry today.
