For any one living in a climate with mild winter, like here in Ireland, just leave them in the ground and harvest as you need them. I always do that, works perfect for me.

this is helpful, when I asked my dad how I would know they were ready he said 'you'll just know'. so thank you.

Blossoms, great, I thought as much (and never realised potatoes have blossoms up till now, growing them) so your tip is a timely one, to the point, and helpful. Thank you.

I started a project where you put cut roses into a potato to start new plants. The only new plants I got was potatoes 😂 Re-potted out of small pot into planter bed. Can’t wait to harvest. Mid-spring in Australia so won’t be long 😋

Thank you VERY much for being so clear and stopping me from digging up the plants to see if they're ready!!

just dug up most of mine before the rain. half a shopping basket's worth. Few red roosters among them which I forgot about. Absolute pleasure to harvest from rich compost/soil I've built for 12 years, bees and hoverflies above me and big fat worms in abundance

How is anyone going to compete with this guy? His accent is going to get everyone engaged and then his content is solid. He's also figured out that short videos are where it's at in this niche!

Great helpful straightforward tutorial. Thank you
I was told to store harvested potatoes in dry earth in a cool place which I discovered keeps them perfect and unsprouting for a really long time

Thanks first time potato grower here and was wondering how to know when a plant that grows from under is ready. I have a bunch of them and every step is a surprise. I had no idea the plants would get so big and how many potatoes I should be expecting from each plant.

Thank you so much for making it easy to know when to harvest my potatoes. I watched several videos before this one and I was getting very frustrated because they were not clear on a simple question as to "when to harvest potatoes". Again, thank you so much.

This is my first season growing potatoes and they just started flowering! I planted them in early April and it is now early June, so far there’s only one flower tho so I’m gonna wait a few weeks, I’m also planning on planting some more later this month for a late fall harvest
