I finally went to Japan's Northernmost prefecture: Hokkaido. As the plane was descending, I thought to myself, huh, this looks a bit like Canada. Thanks to the following for providing for my family's travel, accommodations, and food.

"Japanese farmer cannot make money"

Same everywhere, bud! Happy to see small farms that haven't been completely crushed though.

I trully appreciate the farmer couple, dedicating their lifelong occupation with the intention of helping their daughter.

One thing I remember from my trip to Japan was the trees and how similar they are to where I live in Canada. I live on Vancouver island and getting off the plane in Japan made me feel at home because of how the trees looked and smelled. Specially how tall they are. I live by an old growth Forrest with some of the oldest trees in Canada and the Forrest’s in Sendai where I was, was a mirror to my home in Canada!

There's a lot of content that you sorta gotta be in the mood to watch, but whenever I see that you uploaded a new video my heart skips a beat.
The cinematography is always stunning, the editing is smooth, it's informative, sometimes thought provoking and the content is very versatile. It's also straightforward, simple, and regardless of the subject of the video its always very interesting to watch.

To me you represent a zen-like entertaining learning experience. Based on the number of subscribers and your views, its definitely something we need more of in the YouTube community.

I and many others appreciate and value you and your family's efforts in sharing your life with us. Thank you.

As a Thai I love Hokkaido especially winter, what a nice change from the year round heat we get and I kinda obsessed at walking around outside when it's 10 below freezing and it's snowing.

Can't get over how much rural japan reminds me of my home state of iowa. The beauty captured in both is different yet very similar.

I used to live in Sapporo for about a year, and trust me, Hokkaido is nothing like Naichi part of Japan. It feels like you living in different country, and as someone who come from tropical part of Asia (SE Asia specificaly), experiencing Hokkaido's winter is the best thing i've ever did.

I could say Hokkaido is a big chunk of nothingness filled with hidden gem.

My husband and I had the same thought when we visited Hokkaido! (We live in Yokohama, but we miss snowy Michigan winters.) So as the plane was landing we were immediately like "wait...this looks like Michigan!"

I was half paying attention because I'm at work, looked over, and was quite shocked to see pictures of what's also my hometown!

Northern Japan has the same climate as Ontario and Quebec.

What an absolutely BEAUTIFUL farm! You didn’t have to convince me how wonderful the food must have been. Those folks should be very proud. Such nice people too.

Hokkaido was the site of my first architecture project in school. Great video loved learning more about this prefecture.
