I just feel everyone could learn mountains of lessons from animals . Love and care, respect, kindness, tolerance, understanding, playfulness . When two different species come together they don't need to speak the same language . They feel each other silently and know exactly how the other one is doing and what is needed. This is the most loving amazing, tender affection between two animals I've ever seen. They're beautiful and their relationship is beautiful too. They have a wonderful home. People should take this example of a wonderful relationship and learn from it. The respect and caring despite major differences between them is something to be admired. When they were trying to get Sea Biscuit to become a great horse, they realized he had a lot of nervous energy and needed to calm him down. So they put a really sweet horse, a donkey and a sweet dog in the stable next to him so he could have friends. Those three animals showed Sea Biscuit affection and helped him calm down which then helped him focus.

Awww my heart 😫 and yes horses love affection.

Horses, if they know you, to be doted on. Our human hands are something that they don't have themselves and I always used to massage the horses and pet them and they would not want me to stop.
It got to the point where the lead mare would get jealous and wouldn't want anyone else to get pets. I would try giving them turns and that didn't work out. 😂 They were addicted. I had to stop for a while because they all literally started fighting for it and it's not safe when 12 horses hooves are flying everywhere.
I started doing it in their stables at feeding time which they loved. I always figured they'd want to be left alone when they were feeding, but they enjoyed it. Whenever I stopped massaging them before they were done eating they would just stop and look at me until I started again. I miss them so much.

I always feel bad for horses, they dont get the same amount of physical affection as dogs. So it’s incredible to see a dog hugging a horse. Our furry friends truly are amazing
