Hey Mark, faux pas in french is not only used in the social context, but could also be used in general to mention a behaviour that is not appropriate to the situation.

Yes Mark, you are right. In fact Russia close to Europe from fashion point of view. And of course we have people who often go abroad and who hardly ever go abroad and first group of knows all about fashion but second group of people live succesfully without these knowlege.

Hi Mark. I live in Italy and here we pay attention generally at our dresses. We put socks in our home and flipflops at the beach or in a seaside. Funny episode, thanks:)

Good afternoon! Thanks for a new lesson Mark! That was captivating and really helpful. I learn French for a while and in this language "faux pas" means "wrong step" but I've never heard this expression to be used in such context.

Hey, Mark! Very funny lesson! I was growing in the USSR and I remember it was very common and normally to wear a mix of sandals and socks. A lot of people just thought that it was some kind of hygiene(for me it always was being ridiculous) Thanks for this class.

Hey Mark! Thanks for the funny lesson! Sure that's "Faux Pas" in Saint-Petersburg to go out like that but when I'm home I can wear flip flops with socks, especially in winter time. Take care and have a nice day too!

Hi! Thanks for the video!
In Morocco, it's a faux pas to wear socks and sandals although nobody wouldn't say anything to me, the people would look at me, but like you, I'm blazing my own trail.
Other vocabulary:
back to business!
no biggie.
trendsetter.
Take care!
