Personally, this came off as a joke. Yes, if you’re responsible for lifting someone up, it makes sense that you’re going to joke about them not eating much or wearing heavy accessories.

If Haechan really was offended by that, I think the real culprits are SME, the industry as a whole, and the fans whole reinforce the idea that you need to look a certain way to be considered attractive.

I think this was a joke but at the same time I also feel like I understand why fans sit there and bring this up as a concern.

Mainly because this man has been told multiple times about his weight by the members along with his skin tone and also buy fans alike that is gotten to a point where it's like one of those things where it feels like it shouldn't be brought up at least not on camera even if it is like a genuine concern mainly because it has been used in a weaponized way against him and he has talked about it on different occasions during his own live streams and stuff about how it makes him uncomfortable sometimes.

It's kind of like with another boy group I'm not going to name names where fans get upset when members sit there and make comments about one of the members wait because of the fact that it's something that was always brought up by the other members for him weighing slightly more and being slightly heavier than them. But also was used by so-called fans and even some of their staff members in a weaponized way against that member to the point where we at one point with see this member of this group not eat anything on camera. And got to a point where they were basically five steps away from it becoming a full-on Ed with the way that they would talk about what they were eating throughout the day and stuff and it was like yeah that's very unhealthy and very jarring luckily it seems like their members got the memo that it does affect that person even though they never seem like affect them on camera they genuinely would just laugh it off or whatever but it was like the things that they change was very telling and luckily their members caught on to that so at least on camera you don't really see them ever mentioning in it and more often than not if they are eating they always make sure to have that member have some of whatever it is they're eating even though normally he will try to deny eating anything.

So it's definitely one of those double-edged shorts especially when you think about it. Like KPOP and general has such a weird toxicity when it comes to weighing certain amounts and it's not just with female idols even though that's for people mostly focused on it's also with male idols. Like you're not allowed to weigh a certain amount as a man and if you do it's only allowed if you have like a six-pack and muscles so unless you're bulking up like a Wonho, Chan or Changbin and even then sometimes people will try to fetch him those people too but unless it's you trying to bulk up like that it's not allowed for lack of a better way of saying it for you to weigh more than like over 130 lb or some shit like that.

Which is wild when you think about how tall some of these men are and it's like you shouldn't be like 6 ft tall or close to 6 ft and weighing like 110 lb.

Plus I do feel like some K-pop fans forget with a healthy weight is and that you don't need to be pale as hell to still be considered attractive. Like I'm under 5 ft tall and weighing 100 lb is like still fairly on the lower side of weight. Especially when you take in things like muscle mass and bone density and water weight like 100 lb is like 5 minutes outside with more than a light breeze and it's going to blow you away type of weighing and some of these people are wearing that much or around that much and they're like 5'6 and taller.

No I’m sorry if someone told me not to eat before a performance so they could perform a lift or some type of stunt I wouldn’t be okay with that. And it’s the fact that Haechan probably isn’t even overweight or anything and they still said that. That should not be Haechan’s problem if it’s truly an issue than it should ultimately be brought to the choreographer so they can alter it to work easily for everyone.
