Not especeficly in this case, but what I learned is that no matter how you behave netizents aren't going to be happy

Honestly a lot of this hate seems forced. I'm not a particular fan of Somi's, but nothing mentioned in this video seems to justify the amount of hate she's received
. The hate towards Ice Cream seems unfair too, obviously you don't have to like it and you're entitled to your own opinions, but why must you share them and tear her hard work apart? Imagine receiving that kind of backlash towards something you've poured your heart into. Maybe I'm overlooking it, but I feel bad for her at this point.

i feel sorry for her, she had the package, name & brand.
it just feels like she is alway on fence, stuck between two diff. worlds,
even since her earlier days.
also, she is either unclear on what to direction to go, or is not well-managed.

They were mad because she lowered the price of her makeup when they were the ones complaining about it being to expensive. People just want to be mad like go touch grass

there's literally no reason to hate her, tf is wrong with people. just like all of us she's also a human, a young one at that. she genuinely seems nice and has the talent

Somi is likeable but shes also human, she messes up and makes mistakes just like anybody, ppl need to lay off her. Somi is a talent and deserves every success, fans support instead of putting idols down constantly for every little thing

The hates are so forced, the death threats she has are the worst and yet it's only a kpop stan or tweet stan always leading the hate train to her spreading the lies, hoax, and using so many issues which is not true and related to her. meanwhile in real life there's no one hating her. She's in everywhere being busy on her brand ambassador stuff and her own makeup brand Glyf. She's active on bubble talking with her fans Sommungchi and making music. The problem is always people who's already hates her for everything. It's easy to ignored than blabbering so much about her. Remember Jeon Somi is a human too.

I still love Somi. She's a human, still quite young so obviously there will be a lot of mistakes.

Fun fact: Most Koreans still love and go to Starbucks everyday but Starbucks in Korea is not actually owned by Starbucks. Neither are most Starbucks cafés outside the US. Starbucks earns the most from these company-owned stores in the US.

Even if I don't listen to SOMI's releases after IOI, she's undoubtedly one of the best solo-performers in KPOP. That's why I only watch her live and award performances. But I've never added her to my playlist, because songs alone doesn't make you want to re-play them.

She has a extreme beauty and talent but without getting the support from her company, i dont think she will reach her top.

The issue with Somi’s music is that they all seem to be stuck in 2015 -17 era .

She needs to get away from the black label asap. Terrible out of date label.

I’m not a somi fan, but I think the hate is so forced. People complain about her makeup being overpriced, so she lowered the price and then they’re still angry? I really don’t get people these days.

About the boycott: Starbucks Korea isn't even owned by Starbucks itself 😭
And even IF it would be owned by the same person/company it's still weird for me. So many big brands did horrific things (Indian babies literally DIED bc of Nestlé for example) but nobody cared and they buy products of them daily.
The war is terrible (of course!) but it's just pure double standarts to boycott certain brands bc of the war and still turn a blind eye on other brands for slavery, child work and killing. I understand it if ppl want to boycott but it shouldn't be forced on others. It's als no justifycation for hate, deaththreats and discrimination which i've seen many ppl do. Which again is a double standard to protest against a war but doing unmoraly and degrading things to other human being at the same time.
Just weird

Somi is likeable as a person but she made a big mistake signing with TBL.
