This week we are sad to announce that dear Ella, Tom's loyal shop dog, has passed.

I'm sure we all offer our condolences to you with your loss of Ella. We really enjoyed her sauntering into the shop with you and then very intently watching you explain the next project at hand. Your pal and shop assistant will be missed! Now she can chase heavenly squirrels.

I've mourned the loss of about a half dozen excellent canines and I know how it hurts. Condolences to you and your family on the loss of Ella.

It’s tough, Tom. Those of us who’ve experienced the loss of a beloved pet know what you’re going through. They make our world better - MUCH better, actually - and regardless of the love we show them, it can never exceed the love they show us. Peace to you and your family, Tom.

If you've never had the privilege of having a dog' for company it's hard to appreciate how much they are missed. It was plain for all of us to see what Ella meant to you. We will all miss her.

Every time I start a new video of yours, I am always relieved to see Ella in the workshop. I could see she was getting on, but how sweet she was. So I was very sad to learn she has passed. Dogs are the best of friends and I will miss her dearly. My condolences for your loss.

Ah Tom I'm in floods of tears here. I'm so, so sorry to hear about Ella. She was a good buddy always hanging on your every word. I always loved seeing her appearances and every time I'd send her belly rubs and ear scratches. We had a beautiful golden lab for 13 years. She got diabetes and wasn't responding to medication. We had to put her to sleep. She was too good a girl to let her suffer. I often wish we could get years more with them. Ah Tom. Sending big hugs and healing wishes from Ireland. They're part of the family and the best friend you could ever ask for.
