See, I already have seen something about the production process, but I really love this show. It's oddly entertaining.

Hassner said, “Nuts are the most notorious culprit. California produces 80% of the world’s almonds — 2 billion pounds a year — at a staggering cost of 2, 000 gallons of water per pound of almonds. Ten percent of California’s water is guzzled up by almonds. That alone equals the volume of water used by all of California’s cities combined.” And that is BEFORE they use more water to make this "milk"

This is all nice and well - if the almonds would be grown in any of the gadzillion areas around the world where water is abundant.

Oat milk is far more sustainable and green than almond milk, it also has the bonus of having natural creamyness which is something you don't get from other milk alternatives.

When I was watching almond milk recepts, they blended almonds with water.

I love your videos. I get a bee in my bonnet about calling products milks that are made from plants, seeds or nuts. They are not milk. Milk is a nutrient-rich liquid food produced by the mammary glands of mammals. I have nothing against almond 'soak', but call things what they are and not what they are not.

Almond milk may be a better alternative to cows milk but it uses so much water, oatmilk is the best alternative.

So, the '"HEALTHY" alternative to milk is just another over processed product.

All you have to do is drive up the central valley to see just how many almond trees are being farmed. And drinking out of laboratory glassware is a big safety risk!

Almonds are one of the worst crops for water consumption growing needs. Then add more water and put it in plastic bottles? Almond Milk is one of the ecologically worst product to buy!

To each their own. I don't really care for "nut water" myself. I like almonds, and i like water, but mixing them together just ruins them both for me. Same way with nuts in things like cookies, or ice cream. The nuts just get a watered down, soggy type of taste to me. Eww :(
