Frank ocean didn’t fall off, he actually is a genius because he finessed his label out of millions and he has such a loyal fan base that they listen to everything that he drops & earl sweatshirt has a cult fan base of his own.

A big influence on my teenage years. Donuts and cats covered my notebooks, all my clothes were OF and I Still got some of the limited edition skateboards wrapped in plastic. A dope era that was misunderstood heavy. You just had to be there

They're influence was undeniable at the time. When I was in high school, so many people dressed just like everyone in OF. From the shoes, to the socks, to the hats, and even the shirt and shorts. It was insane. Good times 😭

Aye between 2015-2018, several members of OF dropped amazing genre pushing albums
2015: The Internet - Ego Death
2016: Frank Ocean - Blonde
2017: Tyler the Creator - Flower Boy
2018: Earl Sweatshirt - Some Rap Songs

Incredible to see in succession, this group was not meant to stay a group. They were all creatives who wanted to do something different with their craft. They managed to supersede OF to become staples & stars in their own right. I feel all of those albums are essential classics for Hip-Hop/R&B/Alternative music in general

Odd Future was my whole existence when I was in HS. I thought I was so cool and edgy LMAO (cringe) being a black girl skateboarding, calling myself Syd Da Kyd and hanging with the stoners. What a time to be alive... and I still LOVE Tyler to this day (Just seen him two months ago)

Man I met T last year at his le FLEUR* event and dude is straight chill asf.. was like talking to one of the homies from the block. OF will always be remembered alongside ASAP MOB. They weren’t the first collectives but they definitely elevated the shit.

What I like most about Odd Future is that the main artists like Earl, Tyler and Frank actually cared about the art form of Rap/Rnb

Syd highkey a legend. Fin was a complete work of art and The Internet albums don't miss. Never realized her and Odd future were separated. This opened my eyes to realize how separate they actually are now.

I wouldn’t called Earls career a “death”. I feel like it went exactly how he would’ve wanted it to

Extremely sad when they died but it gave birth to some great projects and some of the artists finding their style and voice. Miss the OF days but wouldn't change a thing in hindsight. Love to all my 2010-2015 OF heads, and much love to the new fans as well.

Man oh man, a heavy inspiration for sure. You definitely just had to be there. I still remember everything going on around Tyler’s release of WOLF. The vlogs, all of dat.

Man, being 18 (30 now) and reading about them in a magazine in Boneface's tattoo shop is one of my biggest memories from the time. I immediately looked them up when I got home and knew Tyler was gonna be big someday. They will forever be my favorite collective, I'm so happy I found something so special to grow through my 20s with.

I still don’t understand why Hodgy wasn’t/couldn’t as big as Earl at least. He had the look, personality, style, and was positioned as Tyler’s right hand man when Earl went away. Was he the most supreme lyricist? No, but his work ethic (he had the most material and features out of the crew) along with him getting all his beats from Left Brain made him have a unique sound, which no one, not even dudes in OF had. It’s very clear that once Earl came home all the promo and attention went towards him which makes sense but I still feel like Hodgy could’ve been more. I mean do I see him being the superstar that Tyler is or the undergoing legend that Earl has shaped into? No, but I defiantly feel like he could’ve occupied that middle of the road lane like Vince Staples does now.

I like to think of The Internet as the spiritual successor of Odd Future. Just a group of people (can't call them kids anymore) making amazing music while also pushing thier own sounds.

At least they all split off and did amazing things. Frank with blonde, earl with some rap songs, Tyler with flower boy Igor and cmiygl. Funnily enough their members hit their creative peaks after OF ended.

I feel like Domo was and still is, under appreciated. His No Idols album with Alchemist is massively underrated! Probably my favorite member of Odd Future. His work with Prodigy and FBZ is nice too

I love what Tyler has done with his music and reinventing himself. However ill always remember him for goblin and wolf and his time with OF. They made my middle school years awesome. In retrospect it was probably a bad influence as I was being obnoxious and a jackass in school but you only live once.
