Looking at this kit right now. I just bought a 2011 with 99K miles and omg the shifter is long AF. Clutch feels like I have to kick it a foot and a half in, too. Crazy.

Thanks for the vid, i own 09 corolla S trim and i noticed when i bought the car, the previous owner had some exterior upgrades. When i got in I noticed the shift boot was sunk in itself like yours and thought it was just stock. Did some research and found out dude put in a short throw too!

I think Toyota designed that shifter to not be replaced, watching this put me right off bothering with that mod but hats off for doing it.

Thanks for the video! I have an 09' XRS and I lowered it about 2-3 inches and bought a short shifter some time ago but never got around to installing it. Now I think I will do it. ALSO... love that head unit it looks great.. which one is it, and how do you like it?

I own a Corolla 2009 too, but made in Brazil, it has a big "accelerator pedal lag" if you know what I mean, English is not my native tongue, you press the accelerator/gas pedal and there's a lag/delay in response, and when you release the pedal it doesn't disengage immediately, there's a lag too, does American made Corollas have the same problem? thank you, great content!

I just bought the shirt throw shifter for my 2015 and from the same company. However it was two pieces that install to the shift cable. It made it shorter, yes, only the gear changes, but did not come with the shaft. I feel like it's missing that piece.

I can't believe that you went to all of this trouble simply to fit a shorter gear stick. The length of the shaft below the ball is virtually identdical
You could have just sawn a couple of inches off the length. This IS NOT Throw throw, Short throw involves moving the fulcrum pivot further us the shaft
