Note if you’re doing this yourself… do not get the cheap snap ring pliers. There isn’t enough tension on them to lift the ring. Also make sure the tips come close enough together to grab the ring.

my local Subaru dealer installed the BW short shifter, Perrin intake, exhaust. Shifter is short and tight needing effort, Shift knob sits low. Ordered BW shift extender and different shift knob for leverage. Just these few upgrades have transformed the car from stock. l am loving this BW short shifter wow. inatke on stock tuning make a difference. and steering wheel upgrade so cool.

How much better/shorter is this than the STI shifter that comes with some of the Premium packages? My 2022 WRX came with an STI shifter.

For some reason I can not remove the 10mm bolts after removing the shifter from the larger shifter housing. I installed a Boomba shifter stop shortly before installing this and believe that may be the problem…

Can you think of why my shifter won't move left or right any after I got everything clipped in underneath and my dust cover back on?

Now question here my car came with the Sti short throw but I’m new to the car world always messed with diesel trucks…is this shifter upgrade better then the Sti short throw
