Ms Fitzgerald did a nice easy going job with this song, kind of like a female Bing Crosby. But, this song belongs 100% to Judy. Judy's version is pure dynamite. She does her usual outstanding job of putting everything she has into this torch song. She makes you feel every word she sings. Ms Fitzgerald did do a nice job with one of Judy's signature songs. She did it her way, instead of trying to copy Judy. Bravo Ms Fitzgerald.

Ella sounds excellent here.  But the orchestration is horrible. 50% of the chords written by Harold Arlen are missing.  The brass and saxophone need to take a break!

Wow! What wonderful version! no disrespect to ms Fitzgerald at all, but i feel like the heartache in this is missing - Judy somehow had a way of reaching into your chest and ripping your heart out while it's still beating. Judy is my favourite singer of all time, but she's imperfect - she's rough around the edges and I love that. Ella is vocally and technically superior and OMG makes this look so effortless I kinda hate her for it LOL but yeah...Amazing cover but Judy is just a heart on legs and brings every song to life for me. How either of them managed to sing in those corsets I don't know - you need to breathe when you sing!!

Ella is supreme, but she is no torch singer. All of the other elements that make Ella supreme are there, but that lest element of emotional depth is missing.
