Thanks so much for making this easy to understand. You do a great job explaining what you are doing and why, and the hack with string lights and a hoop is great!

Love a bit of light painting, easier than a lot of people think. No two shots are the same, adding a bit of smoke can add atmosphere too. Thanks Pye for more inspirational work.

Another great tutorial! Each I watch your videos I feel inspired. I’m late to portraiture photography, but I look forward to incorporating your techniques.

Good ideas for social media or website. Thanks.

Nice idea of using led string lights. Another photographer was using light tubes to form a broader swath of light. Very net when color was added. Keep teaching. We all can use ideas from everyone.

Very cool, looks even easier ( and more fun ) than a drag and pop. Thanks to you and Sabrina and Adorama too.

I laughed so hard when you took a pause regarding what was the diameter and circumference 🤣

I wanna do that light painting but on film. I'm shooting portraits (on film) of a friend in a few weeks and light painting behind him would be very cool.

Are you able to cut the string light strip down? The link provided is for a 100 LED string light strip but the ring used definitely doesn’t have anywhere near that amount. Looking at it from the video it would appear to be closer to maybe 30 LEDs used. I don’t want to cut the strip and have issues but 100 is way too many for such a small circumference

Cool idea. Going to give it a try. I think I’ll put a barrier ( gaffer tape ) between individual LED and near hand. That way fingers wont turn red with light.
