Let's take a closer look at water in VR through my Reverb G2 lens!

In this demo, I showcase various water animations and reflections in VR. I discuss and highlight some pros and cons I have found since Sim Update 5. I am really impressed with how the water looks, especially with the recently updated animations. Let me know if you would like to see more through the lens footage in my videos, as my intention is to always illustrate what I am experiencing in the headset as best I can.

Been enjoying your videos as we have pretty much the same HW config.. Got my VR in the sim smooth as butter now TY! Curious to find out how you are capturing "Through the lens" footage..

Thank you very much for this. I totally agree with you. I also use the G2 and the water reflection with water on high and reflections on ultra is totally awesome. Overcast weather towards the evening is breathtaking tbh. Enjoy the rest of the weekend! Greetings from Norway :-)

Agree with the water effects. I also dislike the jumpy reflections. I happens all the time for me.

I get STILL microstutters and fps drops using VR... I tried everything from your previous videos and the new driver helped a bit... but I still have to drop the quality too much to get even a playable experience. If I move my head slow and smoothly it is fine, but I want to be able to look around how I naturally would, without ghosting and stuttering. I'm going to try to reinstall WMR, and open xr. I hope that maybe solves my issues? I see everyone saying they get solid performance with no need to lower render scale and having settings on high/ultra. But I have to lower things waaay too much. Such a let down. 3080/10700k/Rev G2.

The only other thing about VR that Im not sure about is how I'm supposed to refer to charts and my skypark app with the headset on. I wish there was a feature where you could have the front cameras display what they are seeing, so you can look at your monitors if you need to, without removing headset. Or a way to quickly switch to see your desktop, without the VR disconnecting and monitors flashing as they switch back.

It seems pointless to have a VR headset that can display such beautiful and high quality resolution, and not being able to even get close to using its full potential in MSFS. Maybe su6 will introduce even better performance? Do they have any plans to visit VR specifically in the future? I only have a few days left to decide if I'm keeping the headset or not. 600 dollars for something I cant really use, and hoping that It will get better or Ill find a way to have even a playable experience is not worth it, in my mind. :/

Thanks though for ALL of the information and updates you provide! Your videos are BY FAR the most consice, and informative out there. Also your voice is quite soothing and you should look into becoming a narrator haha!
