Is 70% VLT Window Tint worth it?

Here’s a quick video showing Rayno Air Platinum 70% Visible Light Transmitted for the front two windows and 35% rear.

There are the few customers that want to abide by State of California Window Tinting Laws and 70% is just that.

Regardless of its lightness this film still rejects 99% UV and rejects about 50% heat.

Thanks for this video, it's gives us a clear picture of what 70% VLT actually looks like.

Finally, someone tinting with a greater than 30% tint. Not everyone wants to be illegal.... I wish the tint had been 70% all around or, as a comparison, against a tint free window for a before and after.

I'm one of the only tint shops in my area that carries 70% Ceramic window film. I definitely believe it's better than having no tint and it helps more than what people think.

Thanx for the video. Great visual of what 70% vlt tint will look like on my F150s two front windows. I had 5% limo all around but nothing on the windshield(truck looked immaculate) & ran that for a month before “super cop” in my hometown decided to fine me for it at end of month(aka “quota time$$$”). So very relunctantly pulled off the front tint the next morning & cop voided the ticket. So now will be tinting the two front windows + windshield with 70% vlt tint(which is compliant & legal with the motor vehicle act here in my home province of New Brunswick in Canada 🇨🇦)…..

In my younger days I had 5% on the back and 70% up front in the UK to stay road legal, it sounds like it’d look awful BUT actually really helped to blend the fronts in with the back. Obviously not ideal but with the law the way it is

should have just compared 70% tint with no tint.

I have 70% tint fronts and 20% backs on my 2009 Opel Insignia and I love it, in Italy is illegal tu put any film on front side windows but I had to protect myself and family from sun heat and glass debris in case of accident so I fit 70% Solar Gard on front side windows and it blocks 99, 9% of UV rays, glass debris in case of accident and blocks at least 25% of sun heat, so yeah if you live in a country with strict tint laws is definitely worth it, I can't even imagine driving on summer without my 70% tint.

Thank you, this is good for seeing 70% tint. 70% tint is legal in all 50 states.

You guys can be happy at least 30 percent is allowed on front windows, here in Europe its forbidden any kind of tint on front windows. They even take pictures before each yearly inspection. Tinted cars look so much better and its much more comfortable to drive. I hate it when i stop at a stoplight and people have the need to stare at you....

I like that comb, and your right here in California it's 88% or 70% VLT front windows and rear windows any % ...

I have to do something like this since my state requires 70% max or you won’t pass inspection.

Thank you! Nice to see it installed on a vehicle. Thinking of getting it for the frameless windows on a convertible. Your video helps!

damn ....looking at this after my NY tint just failed inspection. Need something to block UV light. But damn my car was sexier with darker tints. Will be missed

70 seems like a good way to go if you wanna keep away from the law. Technically it’s still illegal but damn you can’t even tell 😆

70% looks great, even though it’s light tint.

Any amount that obstructs the government intrusion is worth it.

I think really dark tint or a mix makes a car look trashy but I actually was considering the 70% before I realized it was even legal in California.
