I liked the video because of Michio Kaku and not Elon Musk. Kaku put everything succinctly as it is while Elon was just ego rambling. I studied Engineering myself.

Physics and Engineering both are related and dependent upon each other, sometimes Technology gives rise to new Physics ; at the other times Physics mostly gives rise to new Technology . Both have great impact on Society .
Example :- Wireless Communication Technology which followed the Basic laws of Electricity and Magnetism in the 19th Century.
Another Example of mostly Physics gives rise to new Technology :- Silicon Chip which triggered the Computer Revolution in the last 3 decades of 20th Century and many more .... !!!
