Why Mass Transit Riders Are Wearing ‘Subway Shirts’

"Subway Shirt" is a new fashion trend that lots of women riding mass transit are using to ward off creepy guys. Inside Edition spoke to 51 female passengers at random and 34 say they have been sexually harassed on the subway. However, it's not just oversized T-shirts. Women are putting on blazers and oversized men's dress shirts before getting on public transportation. Inside Edition's Ann Mercogliano has more.

As a woman who usually dresses modestly, it doesn’t stop people from being creeps. Creeps will be creeps no matter what you’re wearing.

It helps to not “show off” by covering up but it won’t stop the really bad people.

This is serious as a man I was harassed by women in my younger years, and it felt very uncomfortable. In one situation, a women put their leg in front of me, blocking my exit from the bus. The bottom line is that no one should feel uncomfortabld regardless of what you look like.
