Bastian's wish for a sibling comes true when his father remarries, bringing a new stepsister, Nicole, into his life. However, things take a dark turn as Bastian faces trouble with Nicole and a gang of school bullies known as The Nasties. Seeking refuge in the school library, Bastian discovers his favorite book, THE NEVERENDING STORY. When the gang's leader, Slip, finds the book and unleashes its power with malicious intent, Fantasia begins to descend into chaos. The Child-like Empress calls upon Bastian to return to the real world, reclaim the book, and save Fantasia. As some Fantasia characters accidentally cross into reality and spread across the city, Slip and The Nasties wreak havoc. With time running out, Bastian finds an unexpected ally in Nicole, who starts to believe in the magic of Fantasia, helping him in the ultimate battle to restore order.

Idk how I never knew there was a third. Love the first, and watch the 2nd and cartoon sometimes for that nostalgic 80s feeling. Like little monsters with howie Mandel, and Fred, Ben savage. And The dark crystal, labyrinth. Just love the corny 80s stuff.

Why would the book seem new to Bastian? He came in and wandered why Coreander(who he stole the book from and read)and wandered why he didn't recognize him. I'm trying to give this movie a second chance. But it's so ridiculous (unimaginative). Michael Ende didn't even like the 1st movie (which I love, my dogs name is Falkor).Upon reading it you'd see why. But I still love it. Even the old man in the beginning is not accurate (his job was to keep track of everything. Literally, everything, as it happened. The irony that this is so in....

I remember how part 2 made no sense but had a popular kid of the time starring but I don't remember it really following the first movie. If done right this could have been the sequel. But nope. They screwed it up lol
