iPhone 13 in 2023 - worth it? (Review)

The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini sit in the middle of Apple's current iPhone lineup, and offer what may just be the best overall value. Is it worth buying the iPhone 13 or 13 Mini in 2023 - and should you do it?

The iPhone 13 and 13 Mini currently stand as what I would consider the best iPhone for most people in 2023- and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Really great phones- not cheap, but worth buying if you want an iPhone.
Also, definitely worth picking up over the iPhone 14 if you want to save a little cash.

You nailed it. 0 reason to get a 14, unless you want to shell out for the Pro or Pro Max sure. But getting the 13 or 13 mini is the way to go right now.

I switched from an iPhone 11 to a 13 on launch day and have loved the experience since day 1. After the 14 came out, I didn’t feel any pressure at all to upgrade since the 14 uses the same chipset as the 13 anyway. Even now my phone battery last all day and the phone itself is in great condition, since the build quality was very solid. I don’t take lots of pictures, but those I do take do look pretty good, since the cameras in the 13 are pretty great. Basically, I can confirm everything you said about the base model 13. It’s still one of the best phones on the market, so if someone is still rocking a XR, 8, XS, etc and are worried about future proofing your tech, upgrading to the 13 would be a great choice. And for those on older devices… yeah it would be a wise choice, considering how older devices would be stuck at iOS15 or lower.

I’ve been using my 13 mini since it’s launch day, late September 2021, and it has been a phenomenal phone so far. It’s still the best small phone you can buy imo, even if it is technically the last generation model

Pretty nice job on reviewing the iPhone 13 after a year and I would say one of the big reasons to get the 13 is it has a physical SIM at least here in the states. The E-Sim thing as a person who has a phone that I use for running that's really small. I guess I'll be keeping my iPhone 13 a long time and then when you travel it's so much easier to just stick a new sim in it. I don't know what Apple's thinking least here in the States

Yesterday I made the switch from the SE 2020 to the 13 in pink. I have had the SE since release and still runs like day one but battery life has become unbearable, especially now that we are going back to having more life outdoors and I’ll be travelling for work soon. I honestly got sick of carrying cables and external battery everywhere so I found a refurbished one in a local shop (grade A and still in warranty from previous owner) and I am absolutely in love with it. I thought getting used to Face ID and the lack of home button was going to be a pain but it’s just so easy to use that I don’t regret the switch at all.

I love my iPhone 13 Mini. When to the Apple Store last December to check out the iPhone 14, but have always wanted a mini. Made up my mind and really enjoying my new 13 mini, and I use it for everything…

Been using my iPhone 13 since march when the green came out and the battery life is amazing and easily last me 8-10 hours and I can see myself using this for the next 2-3 years

Honestly, any iPhone that’s still supported today is usable in 2023 with no problems. I got the XS for $150 and there’s no lag or performance issues

i just got into the iphone with the se 3rd on a smaller budget and going from a 6.4 inch android phone has its advantages and had it for about a month and it's starting to grow on me.

Got a brand new 13 for $200 off retail a month before the 14 came out. I saw leaks that the base model 14 wasn’t getting the Dynamic Island. No regrets at all.
