Same in the U.K.. the reason we got one is because I’m autistic and letting me cook leads to house fires. Now I can put food in a contained cooking area that will switch off at a certain time and I don’t need to remember to turn it off. First time I’ve been allowed to cook for myself for a decade

I can tell you for sure that air fryer is just worth every penny.

If you often cook smaller amounts of food and enjoy baked stuff, an air fryer is a godsend. Makes frozen fries, frozen wedges, baked baby potatoes, etc, much better and quicker than a full size oven.
The baking/"frying" time is still the same, but it heats up super quick, and is a breeze to clean.
For me however, the most important factor is energy usage. No more wasting energy on heating and re-heating a huge ass oven.

Last year I tried to find an oil fryer and it took me a freaking month without using Amazon, air fryer doesn't stand a chance flavor-wise against an oil fryer but it is definitely way healthier

I don't have one, I don't want one. I didn't have an instapot until my mother-in-law bought one online and had it sent to me. I hate it. When I need a pressure cooker I use my grandmother's pressure cooker. But then again I'm more of a cast iron cooker than a plug it in and pretend it's healthy.

I was given a 2 drawer or cooking basket, ninja air fryer and I hate it with a passion. I have tried using but did not like anything I cooked in it.
