Men's lashes and eyebrows being treated as something unattractive is funny considering that men tend to have longer and thicker lashes and brows than women.

"It's giving the rich CEO character from a manhwa" YES 😭😭 they all look exactly like this, I thought it was the author's lack of ability with body proportion but it's actually the beauty standard wtf

"This isn't a glow up, this is an angle change" will go on my tomb stone for sure.

Typically, the silicone torsos are used in cosplay by women cosplaying men or by drag kings in conjunction with a binder to create a male figure. I wasn't aware it was used for looksmaxxing too though...

We haven't learned anything from the past 150 years. The Victorians would use all kinds of weird devices to try and change their faces.

It's so funny because all of this used to be incel terminology lol. "looksmaxxing" It's weird seeing it become mainstream when it seemed to be so extreme a few years ago

hey just in case you were considering constant use of insoles to "heightmaxx" please also be aware that studies have shown women who wear heels over a long period of time can develop severe foot pain and other issues and this also applies to men who wear insoles daily as it affects the way you walk in a similar fashion

Beauty standards is reaching dystopian levels 😬 i notice myself becoming more insecure as new trends appear. Its hard loving your natural appearance when you are surrounded by artificial beauty...

How did you know I was looking for more reasons to procrastinate 😌

Dude the guy who said girls since the beginning of time is so right. Guys are only just now discovering how it feels to have a constant judgemental gaze on you, while we have been in competition with each other for the male gaze since time immemorial. We’ve been looksmaxxing since birth, through dressing rooms with our moms to posting on social media.

The scary thing is, that all these people using filters to "enhance" their appearance, are already stunning! They'd easily make anyone take a second glance, but seeing how insecure they are (not their fault - we as a society have failed to make people appreciate natural beauty) that have to resort to filters (not to mention how they are now considered "common" or even "essential" for photography) is just sad :(
Worse is, that the people in their comment sections encourage this behaviour leading the creator to think that their real self isn't "ideal" or "desirable" enough, and that they need to keep up the facade of being "perfect", no matter if it comes at the cost of their physical or mental health (more often both)

My favorite trope in social media is when people with the ideal body use facetuning to make themselves look like a disproportionate cartoon character from DeviantArt.

Everyone wants to look exactly the same. Actually, everyone wants perfection, but most people's idea of perfection are similar due to online trends, and it's so boring, the world needs variation. We are so used to filters and editing and even surgery, that most people don't even know what a natural body/face looks like anymore. It's getting so depressing tbh...

lol at the calcium. A pretty much exclusively drank milk growing up. Everyone in my family is at least 5’10” (my mom; my dad and brother are 6’ plus) and I’m 5’6” 😂

Not the Jinx at the end of the video lma, your videos are so entertaining and put a lighthearted, but necessary awareness on these topics. Thank you 🙏

as an art school graduate who worked with a fair share of life models (mostly classmates but still), "beauty standards" nowadays are SO BORING TO DRAW, which makes me absolutely disinterested from people who follow them, at least men. Straight nose? No interesting shape. "Ideal" face? All look the same, all bore us. It's not just my opinion, we had so many discussions on that with my old classmates both during school and after 😂
