DVD-RAM...such an unusual format. I've got a few drives that can write it (mostly Lite-On burners) and a JVC Lite-On DVD-ROM that gained (!) the ability to read DVD-RAM after a firmware update. I've even got a few of the discs. (Random trivia: Windows XP setup mentions support, and the OS does in fact support DVD-RAM, but you have to disable the built in "regular" CD burning capability before the DVD-RAM support will work properly.)

So, that drive can handle both cased and uncased DVD-RAM media as well as the original PD discs (the latter of which I've never seen in the wild)?

What in interesting tray mechanism, like half way between a tray load and a slot load. Wonder why they chose that?
