I like how Eggman is a frenemy at this point. Given all their history, Sonic, like Mario, invites Eggman to races, and sports. Even to talk like this on a podcast. But, there’s plenty of moments that remind you: Eggman doesn’t get off quite as easy as Bowser. At least, not when Shadow, Silver, Blaze, and others are involved.

...I find it funny how the Eggman tasting the emeralds on a whim is _very_ in-character to his Jim Carrey self... And at the same time, makes sense with how Eggman is a Scientist, and Scientists tend to _do_ stuff like that to test every possibility.
