Claiming the One Ring from Sauron Cinematic - Celebrimbor, True Lord of the Rings [HQ]

In the Second Age, Celebrimbor and the Elves are deceived by Sauron (as Annatar, Lord of Gifts) into forging the Great Rings of Power; Celebrimbor eventually claims the One Ring and its power in an attempt to fight and overthrow the Dark Lord in his own domain.

For being non-canon, this game did an incredible job at creating stories that really fit into the canon in one way or another and at least made them believable in the big scheme of things. The portrayal of Sauron as Annatar is perfect. The Elves were arrogant and believed they were entitled to power. Sauron/Annatar took advantage of that. So many of these scenes are perfect. I think Tolkien would even be proud of what was created here in his name.

The moment Sauron said “Only you could accomplish such fine art, Celebrimbor”, is the moment Celebrimbor was cursed and sold his soul to the Dark Lord as it gave affirmation to his long awaited and wanted moment of being recognized on pair with his great cousin Feanor for he without being instructed crafted sillmarils that neither Valar could copy to be in a same way.

Let's just take a moment to appreciate that these people took a few paragraphs from the Silmarillion and made an entire game's worth of original lore for Celebrimbor. Also it blew me away that those cutscenes weren't live action footage. They went the extra mile for this game, gameplay and animation. I mean seriously, the light in the character eyes, the way the light bounces off the Ring, the detail in Celebrimbor's face. I haven't played Shadow of War yet but this game left such a good impression on me. Can't wait to get into Shadow of War

Celebrimbor was just a fool used by Sauron and he didnt developed the principal ring, Sauron did it in secret

Ok so they’ve simplified the lore. Instead of forging the 3 elven rings, Celebrimbor forged all but the one ring. Sauron forges the one ring himself, and captures Celebrimbor to perfect it. I kinda like this change. It works along the same line as Anduril.
