(I'm not actually a supporter of Communism, and I believe that Fascism is better than it. However, the Soviet Union took massive casualties in WWII and still were able to push the Germans all the way to Berlin. So they deserve some credit for that.)

The airstrike finishes the Germans on the roof off and what would appear to be all the Germans protecting the Nazi Flag. However, on the way to the flag, a lone German soldier shoots PVT. Petrenko.

Reznov cuts off the rope holding up the Nazi Flag.
SGT. Reznov: URA! The honor should be yours.
Red Army: Ura! Ura! Ura! Ura!
Amidsts the cries of "Ura!" from the Russian soldiers, the player limps over to the peak of the roof, and plants the flag beside the pole that held up the Nazi Flag.
Red Army: URA!
SGT. Reznov: As long as you live... The heart of this army can never be broken. Things will change, my friend. As heroes we will return to Russia's embrace.
