I would like to ask, why did you save it as Sketchup8 file but not as a 3DS extension file? I see most people doing it in that way (3DS extension). Or are both actually the same? Is there any difference between exporting models as 3DS models or just save them as Sketchup8 to open it in 3DS MAX?

how do you make subgroups in sketchup? i don't see it in your video - do you use "make component"?

Hey, when previously importing to 3DS Max the sketchup model would appear without the triangular geometry, now it imports with all the triangulation. How do I fix that?

max2020 will have the triangular tessellation of the geometry after importing skp, but the max 2019 won't... do you know how to fix it?

That's a new feature from 2020 max ? Cause i need to regroup after import it to max 2018

Also dont forget to keep your texture names less than 128 characters long, otherwise it wont import. Except using that new crappy importer from 2020.2
