Upcoming Lego: Eldorado Fortress

Lego is releasing this new and updated Lego Eldorado Fortress set (10320) in July 2023.

Let's take a closer look at this new Lego set and ask the question:

Where is Captain Redbeard?
Well... I think I've found him!!!

My head canon is that Redbeard is sitting back a Barracuda Bay and has sent Lady Anne Anchor and this random crewman to scout out the fort and the cave system. And he chose a crewman with a red beard and eyepatch to try and fool the Admiral into thinking it’s him in a disguise if the two are captured.
This guy can’t be Redbeard because he looks younger while Lady Anne looks about the same age as she does in Barracuda Bay.
And he can’t be Redbeard’s son because we saw his young son in Barracuda Bay as well

This set will go to my imperial Armada cause the name ELDORADO is more Spanish I don't know why they gave this set to the bluecoats I refer to as the French I really hope that they bring back the imperial Armada with a least little more accurate version of the Armada flagship looking more like a GALLION than a small crappy one cannon boat

I like your theory on Red beard and would be really fun to get sets that add to the story it a good way to introduce the large shark mold to LEGO pirate fans in something small. Or maybe his hand got bitten off by a giant sea turtle?

1 He was in barracuda bay set and sold out?
2. On the other hand. We can be in a new exclusieve set as a gwp comming with the release of this set.
3 A future yet to release set
.4 Lego thinks. If you wan't a captain buy the 3 in one pirate ship.

With option 4 or 2 as the most likely.
Option 1, they can just recreate the print.
Option 3, a future sell for longterm. If they put redbreard in all sets, they will create some saturation.

before I watch your video I have three theories about were red beard is.... 1) yes the pirate with the bandana (before he lost a hand and a leg).... 2) he's the skeleton walled up in the foundations (way after he was captured)... 3) he's chilling in his bay.... Did we go 30 years into the future of past?

I really thought that you were going to show that skeleton hidden between the rock where the prison is they already have a slight older and newer version of Captain Roger Redbeard when the new black seas barracuda came out his grey hair mixed with his red beard looks really nice maybe that might be his long lost sun and daughter even though she's the same look from the female pirate lady anchor from barracuda bay ugh sorry if I missed spelled her name still her face can be changed

This cannot be Redbeard in the set, as the face as you said was the same as the 2015 version. However the 2015 captain wasn't Redbeard.

I'm not sure if your first Red Beard theory is right, but it really should be ... hopefully Lego are listening :)

In another review they showed a skeleton in one of the walls. Could that be the missing Captain Red Beard?

A good observation about the hand and the leg! However, you ignored the fact that Roger Redbeard was featured in the Pirates of Barracuda Bay, which is set 30 years after the hayday of the iconic ship and he actually has a grey beard and a worn out uniform in the set. If this really was a prequel, then this set would have to be set prior to the events in 1989, which is unlikely, so chances are it's just a random pirate. Morever, given the fact that half of the soldiers are females, it probably doesn't make sense to seek any further logic or historical accuracy and all we get is just a politically correct toy 🙂
