The new LEGO 10320 Eldorado Fortress is a remake of an all time classic that will bring tears of nostalgia to LEGO Pirates loving fans! I'm not one of those fans and there's something I really dislike about this set...

Thank you LEGO for sending this set for review. Views and opinions are my own.

I will never, ever complain about sets opting for brick-built terrain features, instead of molded elements or baseplates.

I can see why not having the molded baseplate would be a strike against the aet in your opinion, but I'll point out that being forced to build it instead means you've got more room for the hidden festures, as well as more bricks to be used for other stone structures when the set gets taken apart. Funny you mentioned LEGO jail cells always have an escape route; one of my favorite LEGO sets was a wild west 'bank heist' set. I distinctly remember a technic shock absorber being used to knock down the wall of the jail cell when a dynamite 'brick' was inserted just right.

As a child, i thought that was just the coolest thing ever. No doubt this set would be incredible to play with.

I was so jealous my older brother had Eldorado Fortress growing up. When we were older he actually let me rebuild it after he moved back to town. This definitely plays on my love for pirates and nostalgia. I need this set.

Been loving your content, i especially like the fact that you explain every detail in the set and has a nice pov of those details. Your relaxing and slow demeanor really is comforting. I have been following your content for a few months now and i thank you for your utter passion for Lego

I love the way they’ve remade the moulded base plate by building it. It’s a great improvement and a good difference between them both in my opinion. I will definitely be buying this 🙂

I enjoy the structural building of terrain, especially natural stuff. The Monkie Kid Flower Fruit Mountain set is probably my top all-time favorite set for this reason. So for someone like me, your one issue would be a benefit!

I had this set as a kid, feel very lucky as it was amazing. Sold it just before my daughter was born along with all my other Lego, I don’t regret it as the money was handy at the time and it was just sitting in a box in my parents house, but I will be picking this one up for sure and building and playing it with my daughter.

I literally just woke up to see this awaited review in my recommended. Can’t wait to get this set to go along with the Pirates of the Barracuda Bay!

I personally LOVE this remade set - rocks and all. IMO the baseplates of old were a cop out and the full piece builds of the newer sets make me just happy. I'll be buying multiple copies of this set.

My excitement is unmeasurable, I'm not even a classic pirate fan, but Eldorado fortress was always my favorite of the classics, and I cant wait to get it!

I wish I was able to grow up with Lego Pirates. I’ve recently started getting into the new Pirates sets a lot, and love the theme. I’m planning on hopefully making a Pirate display soon, and this would be a great addition to it.

I remember the original from when I was a child but never had it. This re-issue looks amazing especially with the hidden cave system.

What a fantastic, absolutely majestic set. Can not wait to buy and build this one!

If there were raised baseplates there would be no room to place figures. That not only takes away playability, but also would drive this sets price way up. Instead of spending 200 you would probably be spending close to 300. Just my opinion, but I think building the rocks was kinda fun.

Something feels so refreshing getting to see a simple yet complicated design for the fort. I really like the yellow and white along with the black bricks.

0:35 That's a lego Ninjago faceprint from season 6 "Skybound". The chararcer is called Bucko and I'm very happy to see it used again. Definitely one of the best pirate faces imo

I still have my El Dorado fortress from back in the day. Loved the pirate line. I do prefer the block terrain versus the molded foundation. Plus all the extra bits and accessories is awesome. The benefit of the block base leads to all the cool tunnels and escape routes not available in the original molded foundation. It’s actually brilliant and a sign that the designers are old school legoheads like myself.

I never got any classic pirate or castle sets as a kid but I loved looking at them so can still feel the nostalgia. The terrain building doesn’t bother me as I enjoy building brick work. This is a must buy for sure and I hope Lego can keep this up with reviving Pirates, castle and classic space! A full wave would be even nicer!

The reason we have never seen an official Lego court house is because everyone escapes their cells before their hearing/trial.

I really liked the set - but when you showed the modularity? My mind was blown! What a fun build!
