Drunk Man Flees In a Party Bus After a Bar Fight

On April 2nd, 2023, police were dispatched to a fight in progress in the parking lot at a local bar in Joliet, Illinois. The victims were leaving to prevent further issues when 42-year-old Thomas Lopez decided to ram into their vehicle with his party bus.

Joliet police said 4 people, including Thomas, were sent to the hospital after the incident.

Thomas Lopez was charged with a total of 22 different criminal charges, including aggravated battery, aggravated fleeing/eluding a peace officer, obstructing a peace officer, DUI, obstructing, and criminal damage to property.

The Afraid of Cops Syndrome is a real and debilitating condition. Symptoms include, but are not limited to: Stealing party buses, leading police on a reckless chase of indeterminate speed in stolen party buses, ramming other people's cars with stolen party buses, destroying other people's lawns with stolen party buses, slowly exiting stolen party buses and awkwardly trotting away from police in a feeble attempt to elude whereupon you may arrive at a gate in an uninvolved person's yard and contemplate climbing said gate but realize your life choices up to this point do not make that an option, thereby getting tackled and subsequently urinating in your pants and yodeling like a wounded yak after being tasered.
